Ascorbyl palmitate increases the oxidation stability of other forms of vitamin C. An excellent antioxidant for oils and oil blends. In mixtures with vitamin E, it significantly extends the shelf life and protects final product against oxidation. Widely used in anti-wrinkle and skin lightening products. It has regenerating properties, making it a great addition to products for mature skin. Reduces skin redness and visibility of comedones (blackheads).
Dosage:
for daily skin care – 0.2-5%
against acne – up to 5%
UV protection – 2%
as antioxidant in the product – 0.2%
Recommendation: ascorbyl palmitate dissolves in oils only at a temperature of about 110 °C. When planning to add other active substances, it is better to first dissolve the ascorbyl palmitate in the selected oil and to add the other ingredients only after cooling.
Ingredients: ascorbyl palmitate.
