Niacinamide, also known as nicotnamide or vitamin B3, is an active additive in cosmetics used primarily to care for acne-prone and aging skin.
Niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin. Has a multifaceted effect on the skin. Its use improves the appearance and texture of the skin. Has an effect on even a few visible signs of aging. Has a positive effect on the skin’s barrier functions, protecting the skin from dehydration. Helps reduce wrinkles, tighten skin and reduce enlarged skin pores. Thanks to its ability to reduce skin regeneration, niacinamide improves the condition of oily skin.
Another amazing effect is the reduction of skin pigmentation. Niacinamide regulates the transfer of melanocytes from melanosomes to keratinocytes and is therefore used to lighten the skin and reduce hyperpigmentation in aged spots and melasmas of mature skin.
Dosage:
in anti-acne products – 1-4%
in anti-aging and products for pigmentated skin – up to 5%.
