An effective natural preservative for cosmetics against mold, yeast, aerophilic bacteria.
This preservative is a solution of sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, which is widespread component in some berries (cranberries, rowan) and determines their long preservation. They are approved for use in natural and organic cosmetics under strict certifications such as EcoCert and NaTrue.
The preservative only works in products with an acidic medium, so the recommended pH of the product should not exceed 5.6. The addition of a preservative to cosmetic products requires a pH adjustment using citric, lactic or other acid. We do not recommend exceeding 3% for safe use.
An excellent preservative for rinse-off products (shampoos, conditioners), also for creams and lotions with a pH close to that of the skin.
Dosage: 1-3%.
