It is a powerful antioxidant used in antiaging and skin lightening cosmetics.
Glutathione is an antioxidant naturally found in our skin, the deficiency of which is considered to be one of the causes of the signs of aging. It is an excellent active ingredient in cosmetics for people with uneven pigmentation, light and dark spots. Glutathione reduces the activity of tyrosinase, which is responsible for the synthesis of melanin (our skin pigment). It is well tolerated by the skin and can help even skin tone. To achieve a visible skin lightening effect, the products must be used regularly (at least 2 months).
Glutathione enhances the antioxidant properties of vitamin C even in small amounts. It can be safely recommended as an ingredient in anti-aging products for mature skin.
