Candelilla wax

Wax with the ability to maintain a solid texture in products with a high oil content. Gives shine and hardness to solid products (balms, pencils, butters and candles).
This wax is obtained by extraction from Euphorbia antisyphilitica. Used in products to adjust consistency. Its hardness is higher than that of beeswax but lower than carnauba wax. Cosmetics with candelilla wax give the skin softness, matte appearance and easy distribution, so it is highly valued in decorative cosmetics. Perfect for hand and foot creams, as it provides a protective layer against dehydration and negative environmental influences.
In lip balms, it is recommended to use in combination with carnauba wax to give the lips a nice shine. The advantage over beeswax is that white film does not appear on the surface of candelilla wax products when stored for a long period of time.
Melting point: 68-73 °C.
