Bromelain

Enzymes that are extracted from pineapple (Ananas comosus) extract.
Bromelain is a group of enzymes that dissolve proteins through slow hydrolysis. Therefore, it is widely used in enzymatic peelings, when the mild exfoliating agent affects only the upper cells of the stratum corneum. Bromelain promotes the renewal process of skin cells, as it reduces their adhesion to each other and helps in natural elimination. Can be used in mixtures for peelings together with papain enzymes and as an individual active ingredient.
Ingredients: bromelain.
Enzyme activity: >3000 GDU/g
Dosage: up to 2%.
Recommendation: bromelain is more stable at pH = 5-8. It should not be heated above 40 °C, and the product should be stored in a refrigerator at a temperature of 6-15 °C. Formulas with bromelain cannot contain metal ions, as they can deactivate enzymes.
