A natural substance extracted from sugar beets, a derivative of the amino acid glycine – N,N,N-trimethylglycine.
Betaine is found naturally in plant and animal cells, where it acts as an osmolyte to protect cells from water loss. It is an excellent moisturizer for cosmetic products that helps control water balance and prevents dehydration.
Our betaine is high purity trimethylglycine monohydrate, easily soluble in water, an excellent active ingredient for creams, shampoos and tonics. Gives softness to the skin and hair, acts as a conditioning agent in products.
Recommendation: the manufacturer does not recommend heating above +40 °C, it is better to dissolve it in a small amount of water and add it to the still warm final product.
