Allantoin

An active additive for the care of sensitive, irritated and dry skin.
Allantoin has a similar effect to water-soluble vitamins (such as ascorbic acid) in that it also has good antioxidant properties and protects skin cells from oxidation. Its special feature is to stimulate the growth of damaged skin cells, which has been affected by negative factors. It is used in cosmetics to reduce redness of the skin, making it a very popular ingredient in aftershave, sensitive skin and sunscreens. An excellent skin soothing additive for dehydrated skin and after sunburn.
Allantoin is used in the treatment of enlarged pores, softens the skin, promotes the regeneration of cells in the stratum corneum.
Dosage: 0.1-0.5%.
Recommendation: allantoin is added to the aqueous phase but dissolves very slowly, so to speed up the process, we recommend heating the aqueous phase to 40 °C (heating above is not recommended as the substance decomposes).
