Sodium ascorbyl phosphate is stable to oxidation form of vitamin C that is ideal for cosmetics. But in contrast to its analogue – ascorbic acid – this form does not like acidic medium and requires a pH of about 6-7.
Sodium ascorbyl phosphate perfectly neutralizes free radicals, effectively slowing down the aging process and the formation of wrinkles. Protects the skin from aging caused by UV rays, and in sunscreens increases their protective properties. Sodium ascorbyl phosphate slows down the synthesis of melanin in the skin and therefore has a lightening effect on the skin.
Studies have shown that using lotions with a concentration of 1-5% sodium ascorbyl phosphate for 12 weeks significantly improves the condition of acne-prone skin in 76.9% of cases and reduces sebum oxidation by up to 40% (reduces the amount of blackheads). It is more effective in combating acne than 5% benzoyl peroxide lotion. But the advantage of this vitamin over other remedies is that it has no side effects at all.
Dosage:
for daily care – 0.2-2%
in sunscreen – 0.2-1%
skin lightening – 3-5%
anti-acne remedies – 5%
Ingredients: sodium ascorbyl phosphate.
