Soapwort root extract
€3,60 – €28,00Ask a Question
Soapwort root extract foams well in water due to the high amount of saponins and is traditionally used in the production of detergents and shampoos. It works well with foaming agents such as coco-glucoside or cocamidopropyl betaine and acts as a solubilizer, a substance that helps dissolve larger amounts of oil in surfactant-water solutions, but interestingly, it does not increase the solubility of sebum. Therefore, its mixtures with surfactants perfectly wash away dirt without drying the skin. But soapwort extract is completely incompatible with soap solutions, as it acts as an defoaming agent, completely destroying their ability to foam, even in the presence of a very small amount.
Soapwort root extract is perfect for anti-dandruff shampoos, cleansers for problem skin with eczema or dermatitis.
Dosage: 0.5-5%.
Ingredients: glycerin, aqua, saponaria officinalis root extract, citric acid, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate.
