Hyaluronic acid is a legendary moisturizer. Forms a moist film on the surface of the skin, attracting water from the air. Similar to a water compress that constantly moisturizes the skin, reducing water evaporation. Its effects are felt for a long time.
This hyaluronic acid does not form a thick gel structure like high molecular weight acid. But it penetrates a little deeper into the stratum corneum of the skin, giving the skin softness and smoothness. The moisturizing effect is particularly strong in mixtures with high molecular weight hyaluronic acid.
Dosage: 0.1 – 0.5%
Recommendation: for your safety, it is essential to add a preservative to the prepared aqueous solutions with hyaluronic acid, as bacteria are particularly like of this substance. Shelf life without preservative solution is 8-10 hours (the refrigerator will not help!). When mixed with a finished cream that already contains a preservative, no additional preservative will be needed.
